ADL5385ACPZ: 30 MHZ to 2200 MHZ orthogonal modulator

ADL5385 is a silicon single-chip orthogonal modulator designed for the frequency range of 30 MHz to 2200 MHz. Its excellent phase accuracy and amplitude balance can provide high-performance intermediate frequency (IF) and direct radio frequency (RF) modulation for communication systems ADL5385 obtains signals from two differential baseband inputs and modulates them onto two orthogonal carriers. Both internal carriers originate from a single ended, external local oscillator input signal, with a frequency twice the output frequency of the target carrier. The two modulated signals are added on a differential to single ended amplifier that can drive a 50 Ω load ADL5385 can be used as an intermediate frequency modulator in digital communication systems or directly to RF modulators. A wider baseband input bandwidth provides conditions for baseband driving as well as compound intermediate frequency driving. Typical applications include wireless link transmitters, cable modem terminal systems, and broadband wireless access systems
